MODO 3 puts three flat Gx53 lamps into the same rounded, low-profile body. The three sources cover a wider span of ceiling, which is what a spacious room asks of a fitting that does not hang.
It works above a work surface for the same reason. Three points of diffused light land more evenly across a worktop than one bright point does, and there is no glare to work under.
