YOLI is a wall light in two parts: a plain base and a spherical shade set above it. Nothing else has been added, and that restraint is the design.
A sphere gives light without awkward angles, so the fitting settles as easily beside a bed as in a living room. It holds up in a commercial room too, where the lighting is meant to stay out of the conversation.
The base is finished to contrast with the shade rather than match it, which is what keeps a simple shape from reading as a plain one.
