ALINO puts a tinted glass shade over a steel base, and the two materials do the whole job between them. There is no ornament on it; the interest is in the glass and in what the tint does to the light.

It is made in four forms — a single wall light, a three-lamp ceiling fitting, and a pendant carrying either one lamp or three. That is enough to light a room from more than one direction without introducing a second design into it.

Glass and steel sit easily beside concrete, wood and stone, which makes ALINO a straightforward addition to a room whose materials are already settled.
