BUKANO is a ceramic pendant with a handle set into the top of the shade, which is not where anyone expects to find one. The rest of the design is plain enough to let that single detail do the work.

The drop adjusts, so the lamp can be set at the height a dining table actually wants rather than wherever the ceiling leaves it. That is the room the series was drawn for, and the light sits over the table the household eats at every day. With the right bulb in it, the shade reads as an object in the room as much as a light.
