ORBIS keeps to a cylinder and builds everything from it — spotlights and wall lights, all on the same outline. Alongside the plain coloured versions there are cylinders in concrete and in wood, which changes the character of the fitting without changing its shape.

That is a useful way to run a collection. A living room, a bedroom and a child’s room can each take the same form in a different material, and the house still reads as one house.

The colours are quiet throughout, which is the right register for a fitting whose whole argument is its outline.
